Thomas Mark Lindley was born November 15, 1834 and moved with his family to Randolph Co., AL in 1848 where he married Rosanne Elizabeth Susan Ball in April 1856. After the war he returned to Randolph Co. and became a preacher. He was the first pastor of Wesly's Chapel Christian Church and Mandy's Chapel Methodist Church. After Elizabeth "Betsy" died January 7, 1906, Thomas married Sarah Smith.
I just came across this two days ago.
I have not been able to contact the guy who furnished the info on Thomas Mark.
I NEVER KNEW THAT HE REMARRIED AFTER ELIZABETH DIED.

Ijust discovered your page so that is why so many posts. I am the one who supplied the info on Thomas to the 1st Al Cav website. I have the original photo of Thomas Mark and his second wife, in this photo I blocked her out because they only wanted his photo. My ancestor is James R. Lindley. I have a copy of Thomas Mark's pension papers.

He was first married to Rosanne Elizabeth Susan Ball 1830-1906. Second marriage was to Sarah Smith 1852-1933. Then in a relationship but not married to Amanda Mandy Elizabeth Cavender whom is my 2nd paternal great grandmother
